Idle Peace is a good example of a project that started off with a good head of steam, but which ran itself out soon after its inception. I couldn't really write any of the characters, and the clunkiness of the dialogue was irritating to me. I wanted to create a rich science-fantasy world with lots of actions, along the lines of the manga Hunter X Hunter, but that ambition was far beyond my means, and I quickly found myself drawing endless, pointless fight scenes between characters I could care less about. And if I didn't care about the characters, who else would? I didn't even bother inking those pages (now lost to the sands of time), but I'm still rather proud of this first chapter of Idle Peace, which has probably some of the best action I've done on the first few pages. I'd like to come back to this someday when I have a little more experience under my belt.
